BBM Music - Hands on

RIM's cloud based music service named BBM Music is currently undergoing limited beta testing and is expected to be available to BlackBerry users by the end of this year for a monthly subscription price of $5.

PhoneArena has reviewed the application and provides some pictures and videos of BBM Music in action. The applications interface is divided into 4 tabs - Home, Profile, Connections and Store. You can share the songs you have added with your BBM friends much like the Spotify service allows you to share your playlists with your Facebook friends. While the BBM community is quite large, it will be nice to see this feature extended to other social networks like Twitter and Facebook in the future.

Currently you are limited to adding 50 songs in total from the available catalog. Before adding one you can preview a 30 second sample. You can also cache the songs you want to your microSD when you are not able to stream.
