Samsung Galaxy Note 9 for AT&T receives Android 9 update

AT&T is the first carrier in the United States to release the Android 9.0 Pie update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. Samsung promised to bring Android 9 Pie to the U.S. by the end of the month, and it looks like the South Korean company has just managed to keep that promise.

The update comes just days after Android Pie was pushed out to the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ on AT&T. Now Galaxy Note 9 customers can join in on the latest version of Android on their handsets.

The Android 9.0 update for the Note 9 is reportedly around 1.85GB in size and is being pushed out to handsets OTA (over-the-air). It is adviced that you ensure your battery is fully charged and that you are connected to a strong Wi-Fi connection before you attempt to download the update.

With Android 9.0 Pie, your handset should gain features like improved notifications, app slices,  an updated 'Do Not Disturb', Adaptive Brightness and Battery Enhancements, Digital Wellbeing, App Actions, An Improved Recent Apps View, Rotation Controls, an easier way to take screen-shots, indoor location tracking, and a new gesture-based navigation. Additionally, you will be getting Samsung's new One UI interface which will be the company's future adaptive interface for Android.

Hopefully, now that the Android Pie updates for the Note 9 have kicked off, we won't have to wait long for the other carriers to push it out to their customers.
