LG Q9 officially unveiled at CES 2019

The LG Q9 was officially unveiled by the company at CES 2019, ahead of its scheduled event later today. This mid-range Android smartphone from LG is similar in design and specifications to the LG G7 Fit.

The handset comes with a metal glass design and will be available in Carmine Red, New Aurora Black, and New Moroccan Blue colors. The build offers IP68 water resistance rating.

With the LG Q9 you get a 6.1-inch "FullVision" display with a 2130 x 1440 pixel resolution, a single 16-megapixel rear camera, a single 8-megapixel front camera, a 3000mAh battery and 2016's Snapdragon 821 chipset with 4GB of RAM.

LG is pricing the handset at 499,400 South Korean won, which should translate to around $445. Hopefully, the price will be much more aggressive when it is offered across the globe.

With the Q9 LG promises to deliver state-of-the-art audio with a loud Boombox speaker, Hi-Fi Quad DAC system, and DTS:X stereo enhancements. On the negative side, LG is releasing the handset with Android 8.1 Oreo instead of the newer Android Pie, and we hope that the newer version will be pushed out without too much delay.
