New T-Mobile prepaid plan offers unlimited talk, text, and data for $50 a month

In what looks like a response to Verizon's recent promotion for its prepaid customers, T-Mobile has unveiled a new deal for its own pre-paid customers. For a limited time, you can sign up for unlimited talk, text, and data in "participating" T-Mobile stores for just $50 a month.

This does look like a better deal than Verizon is offering, but do keep in mind that there are a number of restrictions and conditions attached to this deal. While there is no mention of any restrictions on hotspot data allotment, keep in mind that tethering is limited to 3G speeds, while video typically streams at 480p.

While data is 'unlimited' you should also note that your download and streaming speeds will be reduced should you go above the 50GB per month data limit. Customers who enjoy streaming Netflix over their T-Mobile data connection should also note that deprioritization is also part of the deal. You should also note that taxes and fees will not be included in your $50 monthly rate.
