The OnePlus 6T is now receiving the OxygenOS 9.0.6 update which brings several improvements to the Android flagship-killer. Among them are an improved unlocked experience, better standby power consumption, and optimizations for camera image processing.
The update also includes various bug fixes and performance improvement, including a fix for an issue that prevented adding APNs on Verizon, and a bug that prevented units from receiving Play Store notifications.
OnePlus has stated that the update will be rolled out in stages, meaning that a limited number of users will receive the update before it is pushed out to a broader audience. Once you do receive an update notification, remember to make sure your device is fully charged and that you are connected to a strong Wi-Fi connection before installing the update.
