Microsoft Launcher for Android update (5.1) includes smartphone usage monitoring, Cortana integration and more

Microsoft Launcher for Android version 5.1 beta has a few notable new features and improvements. Among the improvements is a new tool within the launcher that monitors your smartphone usage, similar to Digital Wellbeing for Android.

The usage monitoring feature will let you know how long you have used each app during the day. It will also let you know how many times you unlocked your phone during the day, measure your overall smartphone usage on a daily basis, and more.

The update also includes integration of Microsoft To-Do and Microsoft Sticky Notes. This allows customers to keep track of projects and notes directly from the Launcher. Additionally, the update allows users to activate Cortana from the Microsoft Launcher by saying "Hey Cortana."

You can download and install the update by joining the Microsoft Launcher for Android beta, or download the latest version from the Google Play Store and wait for the official version to be updated eventually. Microsoft Launcher requires Android 4.2 or higher.
