BlackBerry KEYone for AT&T receives software update with October security patch

BlackBerry KEYone for AT&T is now reported to be receiving a software update marked ABI975 which comes with Android 8.1 and includes the Android October security patch. The update has not been listed on the AT&T website yet, so we don't know what changes it offers.

You could head to your device settings and check for it manually. Once you receive the notification make sure your battery is fully charged and that you are connected to Wi-Fi before initiating the update.

Besides the AT&T variant, unlocked versions of the BlackBerry KEYone and the BlackBerry Motion are also reportedly receiving a new ABI087 software update. 

While no official changelog has been released by BlackBerry, the update is said to be 530MB in size and include the October security patch from Google along with several bug fixes and speed improvements to the platform.
