Amazon is now an Apple Authorized Reseller

Amazon is now an Apple Authorized Reseller, officially unveiling its own store on the Amazon website as a portal for customers to purchase iPhones, iPads, Macs and more. Amazon first announced their intention to work directly with Apple two weeks ago, and now the store is live.

Until now, the Amazon marketplace has been home to many third-party resellers who offer Apple products. However, after January 4, 2019, they will no longer be allowed to sell them unless they are official Apple re-sellers.

Interestingly, the Apple Authorized Reseller store on Amazon on won't be selling products like the Apple Home Pod, which is a direct competitor to Amazon's Echo devices. Other authorized resellers on Amazon are still permitted to sell them though.

At this point, the store doesn't seem to offer any iPhone or iPad deals, currently only displaying Macs and various Apple accessories and gift cards.
