LG G5 international model is receiving Android 8.0 Oreo update
After rolling out Android 8.0 Oreo update in South Korea, and then to U.S variants of LG G5 for Verizon and LG G5 for T-Mobile, now we find the update is reaching the international variant of the device.

Owners of the LG G5 with the H850 model number are now receiving the Android Oreo software update which includes features like picture-in-picture, allowing users to watch video even when interacting with another app in the background. Notification dots appear on an app's icon to alert you to an unread notification, and you will be able to snooze notifications. Additionally you get a streamlined Settings menu and a step-up in battery optimization. The update should also include the September security patch.

The LG G5 was launched back in March 2016 with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It was subsequently updated to Android 7.0 Nougat and is now in line for what maybe its last major update in Android 8.0 Oreo. The handset features a 5.3 inch display, 32GB of internal storage, dual (16MP+8MP) rear cameras, an 8MP front camera, a 2800mAh battery and a Snapdragon 820 chipset with 4GB of RAM.
