Huawei Mate 10 Pro receives Android Pie update in Europe

Huawei has started rolling out the Android 9 Pie software update to the Huawei Mate 10 Pro in European markets. Currently, the BLA-L09 or BLA-L29 variants are reportedly receiving the over-the-air update, but we expect other variants should be getting it very soon.

While Huawei did not participate in Google's official Android P beta program, the company started their own Android 9 Public Preview a little over a month ago. It was later reported that the company started testing the latest version of Android on the Mate 10 Pro, P20, Honor 10 and Honor V10.

With the rollout commencing in Europe, it shouldn't be long before other regions like the US start getting access to Android Pie on their Huawei Mate 10 Pro. It's a great device to own, being offered as low as $500 various online retailers. However, it is important to keep in mind that Huawei is close to unveiling its successor very soon.

The Huawei Mate Pro is a powerful Android device featuring a 6-inch AMOLED display, 128GB of internal storage, dual (20MP+12MP) Leica-branded rear cameras, an 8MP front camera, a 4000mAh battery and a Huawei Kirin 970 processor with 6GB of RAM.
