Alongside iOS 12.1, Apple has also released the macOS 10.14.1 update which brings a few new features, minor improvements and bug fixes to Apple's desktop platform.
You can download the update by heading to System Preferences > Software Update as it is no longer available through the Mac App Store. Once you install the update you should gain access to Group FaceTime on macOS with support for up to 32 members. You can initiate a Group FaceTime call in Mojave from the Messages app, by clicking Details to reveal the FaceTime option.
