Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 officially announced

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 was unveiled today as the successor to one of the top Android tablets in the market, the Galaxy Tab S3. The new tablet from Samsung is a 2-in-1 productivity-oriented device with S Pen support.

The Galaxy Tab S4 comes with a sleek and premium build, taking the design of its predecessor to the next level. The immersive AMOLED display and the slimmed down bezels makes Samsung's newest tablet one of the best looking in the market.

DESIGN

The Galaxy Tab S4 is not just a tablet, it's a productivity device. For the first time, Samsung has introduced its DeX dock for its tablet. This dock transforms your user experience so you can multitask like you would on a PC, without additional accessories. This lets you open multiple PC-style applications — including Android and Microsoft Office apps— directly on the Galaxy Tab S4. You can even resize windows, drag and drop content between apps, and use keyboard shortcuts and commands. The DeX dock also lets you turn your tablet into a fully functional external monitor, with a compatible HDMI to USB-C multi-port adaptor.

Samsung has even been kind enough to include the S Pen with your Galaxy Tab S4 purchase, immediately trumping its competition (we are looking at you Apple) in the note taking department. You can quickly take notes with 'screen off memo' and organize them through Samsung Notes, navigate the UI more efficiently, draw and much more.

HARDWARE

The 10.5 inch AMOLED display on the Galaxy Tab S4 has a 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution and a 16:10 aspect ratio, making it perfect for watching videos or playing games. The media experience is further complemented by four speakers with Dolby Atmos support from AKG.

Storage options range from 64GB up to 256GB with support for up to 400GB of additional microSD.

You have a Snapdragon 835 processor powering the tablet with 4GB of RAM, and a 7300mAh battery keeping everything running.

SOFTWARE

The Galaxy Tab S4 runs Android 8.1 Oreo, which has been enhanced by the latest version of the Samsung Experience. Samsung has included several enhancements to the experience to help you manage your connected devices and lifestyle.
