Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite officially announced

Xiaomi has announced two new smartphones for the European market - the Mi A2 and the Mi A2 Lite - which run a near-stock version of Android. Both devices run Android One and will be available in 40 markets in Europe.

While looking similar to the Mi A2, the cheaper Mi A2 Lite has a notch on the top of its 5.84 inch FHD+ display. You get a dual (12MP+5MP) camera setup on the rear, a 5MP front camera and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor powering the device. The M2 A2 Lite has a 4000mAh battery inside, which is much larger than the one in the Mi A2. The 32GB variant with 3GB of RAM is priced at around €179 while the 64GB model with 4GB RAM will cost you €229.

With Android One, you get Google's mobile OS in its purest form, without the (iOS inspired) MIUI ROM that Xiaomi phones are known for. Both Xiaomi phones should be getting timely software and security updates through Android One prioritizing performance and stability over bloated software features which don't appeal to all users.
