T-Mobile releases affordable Motorola Moto E5 Play and Moto E5 Plus

T-Mobile has launched two affordable Motorola branded Android smartphones on its network - The and the . Both handsets are available starting today on the carrier's website and can be purchased outright or through monthly payments.

The Motorola Moto E5 Plus is the more expensive of the two handsets, priced at $255 if you want to buy it outright. T-Mobile allows customers to pick one up for $9 upfront and $9 per month for 24 months.

The handset features a 6-inch HD+ display, 12-megapixel rear camera, 32GB of internal storage, a massive 5000mAh battery with Motorola's TurboPower charger and is powered by a Snapdragon 435 processor with 3GB of RAM.

The Moto E5 Play costs $150 outright, but customers can get the device for $6 down and $6 per month for 24 months. The handset features a 5.2-inch display, 16GB of internal storage, an 8-megapixel camera, a 2800mAh battery and a Snapdragon 427 processor with 2GB of RAM.


Both Motorola smartphones run Android 8.0 Oreo and come with support for T-Mobile's 600MHz band (Band 71) allowing them to take advantage of the carrier's new extended range cell towers.
