Apple iOS 11.4.1 released
Today, Apple has released iOS 11.4.1 for the iPhone and iPad. This minor update offers a few bug fixes and introduces new security features to iOS devices. This release also marks the fifteenth update since iOS 11 was released last September.

All devices that received the iOS 11.4 update are eligible for this patch - which includes the iPhone 5s and later, iPad Air and later, iPad mini 2 and later, and the iPod Touch 2015.

The update will be pushed to your iOS device automatically, but you can also manually install it yourself by heading to Settings > General > Software update on your device.

According to the change-log, the iOS 11.4 update has the following new features and improvements:

iOS 11.4.1 includes bug fixes and improves the security of your iPhone or iPad. This update:

  • Fixes an issue that prevented some users from viewing the last known location of their AirPods in Find My iPhone
  • Improves reliability of syncing mail, contacts, and notes with Exchange accounts

While its not been listed, one of the significant features of this update is the USB Restricted Mode, which makes it more difficult for anyone, including authorities to break into your iPhone through its Lightning Port.
