JBL Link Bar is the first soundbar powered by Android TV and Google Assistant

Our homes are getting smarter, as we see more of the technology we use day to day evolve around us. Meet the JBL Link Bar - A soundbar with built-in Android TV and Google Assistant capabilities. Along with making your TV smarter, it can perform several other activities around your home.

Just like other smart speakers, you can talk to your JBL Link Bar, asking it to perform various tasks like switching on a particular channel or program on your TV, or dimming your lights. Through its Android TV integration, you will be able to access all kinds of apps and content. With Google Assistant at your service, you will be able to ask the soundbar to play your favorite music or organize some trivia.

The JBL Link Bar looks like any other soundbar, but includes multiple microphones that pick up your voice commands. While the device does sound like an intriguing addition to your home, JBL has yet to share other technical details about this accessory. All we know is its expected to launch in the fall of 2018.
