Google releases September Android security patch

Google has published the Android Security Bulletin for September 2017, detailing all the fixes the company has been working on for September security update for Android.

The update has two security patch level strings, which allows Google to provide Android partners with the flexibility to more quickly fix similar vulnerabilities across their own devices.

The September security update contains several fixes that have been detailed by Google on its official website. The most severe of the issue that has been addressed in the update is a critical severity vulnerability in media framework.

Google announced that the Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel C, Nexus 5x, Nexus 6P and Nexus Player will be receiving the September security update as part of their upgrade to Android Oreo.
