Asus Zenfone 3 Max receives Android 7.1.1 Nougat

The Asus Zenfone 3 Max is now receiving its highly anticipated Android Nougat update. The handset was released by Asus back in November, and its always great to see a mid-range device like this one supported with software updates.

According to the post on the Asus website, the Android 7.1.1 Nougat update is rolling out for both the ZenFone 3 Max (model ZC553KL) and the ZenFone 3 Deluxe (ZS550KL) starting today, May 15. While there is no official change-log, we expect the update will bring all the Android 7.1 Nougat features to the Zenfone 3 Max.

These type of updates generally take awhile to reach all handsets. You should receive a notifications when the update is available for your device. You can try manually checking for the update by heading to Settings > Menu > System Update on your Zenfine 3 Max.
