Kingston unveils the world's highest capacity USB flash drive

Kingston has just unveiled the DataTraveler Ultimate GT 2TB as the world's highest capacity USB flash drive, during Consumer Electronics Show 2017 in Las Vegas. The company is known for offering a wide range of computer accessories, and offers this somewhat over-sized storage device in 1TB and 2TB capacities.

Both variants of the flash drive support USB 3.1 Gen 1, which should ensure fast data transfer. The flash drives are packed into a zinc-alloy metal body, which offers shock resistance and support for all major desktop operating systems. Its un-orthodox shape gives it dimensions of 72mm x 26.94mm x 21mm, but this is the price of transporting this much of storage. The 2TB model is capable of storing up to 70 hours of 4K video according to Kingston's press release.

This is a terrific follow up to our 1TB drive released in 2013 and by doubling the capacity, users can store and carry even larger amounts of data easily.

The DataTraveler Ultimate GT will be available to the public sometime in February, but no pricing has been revealed yet. Purchasing one of these flash drives will include a 5-year warranty and free technical support.
