Google Now and Google Search updated

Following the announcement of their updated company logo and icons, Google has announced a few changes it has made to Google Now and Google Search. Among the improvements, users will notice that information will be better organized.

For example, a new "Upcoming" category will show your upcoming appointments, with daily updates and news stories following. These updates will be displayed based on importance, and the more important updates will be displayed in larger sizes.


The changes to Google Search now allow you to quickly swipe your way through images, video and news related to what you are searching for. On those days when there is a special Google doodle, you'll find it at the top of the page. The icon for the Google app is now the multi-colored "G" that we showed you yesterday.

Google says that other branded apps will be updated in the days ahead to reflect its new look.
