OxygenOS 2.0.1 update released with Stagefright patch and other fixes

OnePlus has just started rolling out its first over the air update for its newest smartphone the OnePlus 2. Specifically the update is rolling out to the international variant of the OnePlus 2 (which runs OxygenOS, not HydrogenOS, like the Chinese model), bringing OxygenOS to version 2.0.1.

The OxygenOS 2.0.1 update addresses the Stagefright security exploit, while bringing various other enhancements, including improved battery performance, improved "user interface logic and coherence", and more. The update is being rolled out in phases, so not everyone will receive the update immediately. Expect the rollout to take a few days before it reaches all the handsets.

The original OnePlus One has also been updated to OxygenOS 1.0.2 with a fix for Stagefright exploit
