Huawei P8 Lite - Video Review

The Huawei P8 Lite is one of the company's newest smartphones to reach US markets, offering Android in a mid-range package. Its affordable $249.99 price, coupled with its premium-esque design makes the P8 Lite a great choice for new smartphone users, but does it have what it takes to face heavy competition in the mid-range segment?

Despite being neatly packaged with some decent specs, the Huawei P8 Lite will find its competitors offer better specs at the same price range. The handsets easy to use interface makes it a great choice for first time Android users switching from iOS or other platforms. 

However the choice to use an outdated Android 4.4 KitKat, while Android 5.0 Lollipop is making it into the mainstream market is surprising. 

Huawei's choice to outfit the handset with a 2200mAh battery also results in hampering the experience, with the handset only lasting a single day on full charge. This is another area where its competitors win out.
