Apple Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan Developer Beta 2 now available for download

Apple Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan Developer Beta 1Alongside the second beta of iOS 9, Apple has also released OS X 10.11 El Capitan beta 2 for Mac, and watch OS 2 beta 2 for the Apple Watch. All the new beta builds are available to download right now for developers enrolled in the Apple Developer Program.

Apple's OS X 10.11 El Capitan is the company's attempt at focusing on performance, speed and stability, with a lot of under-the-hood tweaks packed into the release. The first beta was released just after Apple’s big WWDC 2015 opening keynote two weeks ago, with early adopters coming across some interesting changes behind the curtains.

Developers can download the second beta of OS X El Capitan by launching the Mac App Store, clicking on the Updates Tab, and waiting for the update to appear for download. From there you simply have to follow the onscreen steps to complete the download and install process.

Apple offers beta versions of iOS, OS X and watchOS to developers registered in the Apple Developer Program, which costs $99 a year.
