Samsung Galaxy Note 4 for Verizon receives Android 5.0 Lollipop

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 for Verizon receives Android 5.0 LollipopThe Samsung Galaxy Note 4 on Verizon Wireless is no receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. The update will start rolling out to customers starting today, April 2 but since such updates are rolled out in stages, it should take awhile before it is available to everyone.

The update is reportedly quite large, requiring "up to 1.7GB of reserved memory", so users are advised to connect to a Wi-Fi network if they choose to save on their data allowance. It is also advised to ensure your battery is appropriately charged before installing the update.

The update will come as two separate files, one of them activating VoLTE, and making Advanced Dialer 1.0 part of the Galaxy Note 4 dialer. With Android 5.0, you will get the new lockscreen notifications, improved battery life courtesy of 'Project Volta' and the redesigned multi-tasking view which includes Chrome tabs. TouchWiz will also be updated with new S Health widgets, plus fast motion and slow motion camera modes.
