LG G2 for T-Mobile receives Android 5.0 Lollipop

LG G2The LG G2 for T-Mobile is now receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, which follows the release of Lollipop for the LG G3. As usual, the update will be rolled out in stages, so it may be a few days before it is available for download on your device. T-Mobile hopes to complete the Lollipop rollout for the LG G2 by May 22.

You wont be able to force the update onto your device, but you can try using the LG Mobile Support tool if you want to manually sideload it.

When you do receive an update, expect a filesize of about 617MB and the D80130b build number. As usual, it is recommended that you connect to Wi-Fi in order to avoid unnecessary data charges, and to ensure your battery is fully charged.

While T-Mobile has not provided an official changelog for the update, expect a new lockscreen experience, updated multitasking, enhancements to notifications, Improved battery life courtesy of Project Volta, Material Design inspired UI tweaks, smart lock, and more.
