Asus VivoWatch officially announced with 10 day battery life

Asus VivoWatch

The Asus VivoWatch was launched today, and should be available for purchase sometime later this year. Interestingly this wearable is not part of the Zen family like the Android Wear powered, Asus ZenWatch.

Asus hasn't revealed too many details about the VivoWatch, but we know it is a fitness-centric device that can offer 10 days of battery life. Asus manages to achieve this battery life thanks to a company using its own software platform. However, Asus has yet to detail other features this platform has to offer.

Other confirmed features include a stainless steel frame, heart rate monitor, and a suite of health-oriented apps. The screen of the VivoWatch seems to be a black and white one, while below it we can see a colored LED notification light. The Asus VivoWatch is also dust- and water- resistant (IP67 certified)

At the moment, the price of the VivoWatch is not known. However, the device should cost less than the ZenWatch, which can be bought for as low as $199. We'll let you know more about the Asus VivoWatch as soon as new details are available.
