Apple Mac OS X 10.10.3 Yosemite now available for download

Besides releasing iOS 8.3 for mobile devices, Apple has also released OS X 10.10.3 for desktops, with an all-new Photos app. The Photos app, which has been in the works for the best part of a year, is the main talking point, and you can catch all of the key details after the break.

The Photos app comes as the successor to iPhone and Aperture, offering a modernized experience which falls in line with Apple's other apps and services. The Photos app borrows the overall iOS aesthetic, like most of the OS X platform, making the process of editing and organizing your photos seamless and pleasurable.

The Photos app was first unveiled at the WWDC last year, and it is finally making its presence felt, ten long months later. In essence, Photos is a pro-level tool that can also be used by general consumers, and its inclusion along is a great reason to download the latest OS X 10.10.3 update.

Besides the Photos app, the iCloud Photo Library has also dropped its beta tag, ensuring that you can easily access your photos across all your Apple devices with ease. You can review the other changes in the official changelog which follows:
