Samsung Galaxy S6 in Philippines will feature dual nano SIM slots

Samsung Galaxy S6 in PhilippinesAccording to a new report, the Samsung Galaxy S6 offered in Philippines will feature a dual SIM slot. The report also suggests that this request was made specifically by Samsung Philippines, as the international version of the phone comes with a single SIM slot only.

Both SIM slots will be of the nano SIM variety, but only one of them will support 4G LTE. The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge for the Philippines market, on the other hand, will support a single SIM card.

The first versions of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge to be released will be the 32GB and 64GB variants in black and white. This is expected to take place on April 10th. The 128GB models will be rolled out in the Philippines at an unspecified date in the future.

Both the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge feature a 5.1 inch Super AMOLED display with a 1440 x 2560 pixel resolution. You get a 16MP rear camera with a f/1.9 aperture for great low light photos, a 5MP front facing camera with the same aperture and a 64-bit octa-core Exynos 7420 CPU built using the 14nm process. You also get a Mali T-760 GPU for graphics and 3GB of RAM.

Both handset come with Android 5.0 Lollipop pre-installed out of the box. However they do differ in battery capacity, with the Galaxy S6 offering a 2550mAh battery, while the Galaxy S6 Edge has a 2600mAh battery.
