Mortal Kombat X coming to Android and iOS

Mortal Kombat X, the tenth title in the Mortal Kombat series is currently in development by NetherRealm Studios. It is scheduled for release on April 14, 2015, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows, and will be ported to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It turns out that the NertherRelm's mobile team is also developing a version of the game for iOS and Android devices.

NetherRealm Studios is an American video game developer based in Chicago, Illinois. The company was founded in 2010 replacing WB Games Chicago and Midway Games, which purchased assets in 2009 that were formerly owned by Midway Games Chicago after Midway filed for bankruptcy.

Mortal Kombat X is the second game under NetherRealm Studios, and follows 2011 reboot of Mortal Kombat. The following video demo shows fan favorites like Scorpion, Sub-zero, Reptile and Kitana, along with some of the newer fighters battling. Based on the demo, it looks like almost everything from the console games have been ported over to the mobile version: the shocking new animations with X-Ray vision, the bloodthirsty fatalities, and the wicked brutalities. It's Mortal Kombat at its finest, tailor-made for touch interfaces.

The publishers of Mortal Kombat X are also known for titles like, Injustice: Gods Among Us, which was published on consoles and mobile in 2013, and WWE Immortals, which was released in January this year for Android and iOS.
