Microsoft India announces trade-in offer on Asha phones for a Lumia 435

When Microsoft purchased Nokia's smartphone business, the company had a clear vision of Windows Phones being offered across all price ranges. Today, Microsoft India announced a Smart Exchange offer aimed at Asha consumers, allowing them to trade in their Asha handsets for a brand new Microsoft Lumia 435.

In order to be eligible for the offer, you must own one of the following Asha handsets - Asha 305, Asha 306, Asha 308, Asha 309, Asha 310, Asha 311, Asha 500, Asha 501, Asha 502 and Asha 503

• Asha 500, Asha 501, Asha 502 and Asha 503 - Assured discount of Rs. 1,500/-
• Asha 305, Asha 306, Asha 308, Asha 309, Asha 310 and Asha 311 consumer - Assured discount of Rs. 1,000/-

The Lumia 435 is currently priced at 5,849 INR ($93) in India, so, depending on what Asha model you have, you can get about 25% off its regular price.. The Smart Exchange offer is valid from till April 15, 2015 or till stocks last. Also consumers will receive Rs. 1,250/- cashback of recharges through the Paytm app during the offer period (Rs. 250 per transaction).

The Microsoft Lumia 435 was announced last month is currently the most affordable Windows Phone in the market. It features a 4.0 inch touch display, 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 2MP rear camera, a secondary camera for video calls, optional dual-SIM and a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM.
