Lenovo Vibe Shot unveiled with 16MP OIS camera and tricolor flash

Lenovo Vibe Shot unveiled

The camera centric Lenovo Vibe Shot was first announced back at CES, but very little information was revealed about the device. Now at MWC 2015, Lenovo has more information to share regarding this amazingly stylish and highly affordable Android smartphone.

The Lenovo Vibe Shot camera has a 16MP BSI sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), tricolor LED flash, and six-element lens with sapphire coating. The camera captures images in a 16:9 format and enhanced low-light abilities. Meanwhile, the OIS technology will constantly correct your hand tremors to ensure you capture steady footage or blur-free photos. The world's first tricolor LED flash makes photo luminosity adjust automatically based on the ambient light conditions, and the light comes through modular six-element lens with blur filter and sapphire coating for added protection. Last but not least in that camera hardware ensemble is the infrared focusing, which Lenovo says is twice as fast as the normal AF system, and the speed of shooting is additionally aided by a physical shutter key on the side.

Besides that, the Vibe Shot is equipped with a fine 5 inch 1080p display that offers 400+ ppi density, 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, 4G LTE, dual-SIM connectivity with two nano SIM slots, an 8MP front camera, a 3900mAh battery and a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor with 3 GB of RAM. Whats impressive is that Lenovo has managed to pack all this camera power into a 7.3mm thin chassis that is built of aluminum, with a Gorilla Glass 3 protected front and rear surface.

The Lenovo Vibe Shot will be sold in all countries where the company has presence starting in June, and the MSRP price is just $349 without any carrier subsidies. This is a great price considering the premium nature of the device and its features. You can pick up the device in grey, white or red.
