Alcatel ONETOUCH Watch now available for pre-order, costs $150

Alcatel ONETOUCH Watch pre-order

The Alcatel ONETOUCH Watch was announced at CES with support for both iPhone and Android devices. The wearable which brings the traditional round watch form factor, boasts 3-to-5 days of battery life and comes at an affordable $150.

The ONETOUCH Watch features a 1.22 inch display which is almost completely round similar to the Motorola Moto 360. The ONETOUCH Watch also features an altimeter, e-compass, NFC tag, and is IP67 water and dust resistant, so you can take it in the shower. One of the advantages of the Alcatel ONETOUCH Watch is its stellar battery life, which ensures you don't have to charge it daily. When it is time to recharge, there is no cable or inductive charger to worry about, simply unsnap the tip of the wrist band and plug the whole thing into a USB-2.0 port. Charging should take an hour or less.

Alcatel has opted to use its own proprietary interface instead of Android Wear which offers functionality like notifications, activity monitoring, music controls, and heart rate data. You can also select a number of different watch faces, and shake your wrist to activate your camera, so you can take selfies without reaching for a camera button somewhere. The Alcatel ONETOUCH Watch supports smartphones running Android 4.3 or higher, or an iPhone running iOS 7 or higher.
