Samsung Z1

The Samsung Z1, which happens to be the first Tizen powered smartphone was launched last month in India. According to Samsung, the company wanted to reach the 30% of Indian phone users who didn't use smartphones. After the positive start in India, today Samsung announced it is launching the Samsung Z1 in Bangladesh.

The Samsung Z1 has been built with developing markets in mind and is therefore sold at a bargain price.  While the pricing wasn't announced, the handset is expected to be very affordable.

The Samsung Z1 features a 4 inch display with a 480 x 800 pixel resolution, 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded by an additional 64GB of microSD, a 3.1MP rear camera, a 0.3MP front camera, a 1500mAh battery and a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 768MB of RAM.

The handset comes with Tizen OS 2.3 with the TouchWiz user interface. Samsung is also giving away some freebies, including access to Club Samsung for a year and you will be able to enjoy live TV and free music (including videos) streaming. With the Club Samsung subscription, you also get a three-month access to movie streaming.
