Sony Xperia E4g officially announced, at an affordable price with LTE connectivity

Sony Xperia E4g officially announced

The Sony Xperia E4 was unveiled earlier last month, as an entry level Android smartphone. Unfortunately LTE connectivity was not included, so the company has decided to rectify that mistake by launching the Sony Xperia E4g.

In terms of design and hardware, the Xperia E4g and the Xperia E4 are nearly identical. However the Xperia E4g has 4G LTE connectivity on board and is outfitted with a 1.5GHz quad-core MediatTek MT6732 chipset. The handset like the Xperia E4 will be available in both a single SIM and dual SIM variant.

The Xperia E4g also comes with a smaller 4.7 inch display, which retains the 540 x 960 pixel resolution, resulting in a higher 232 ppi pixel density. The smaller display makes the device itself smaller, with 5.24 x 2.80 x 0.43 dimensions and a weight of 135 grams.

Similar to the Xperia E4, the Xperia E4g won't make be sold in the USA. It will launch in other markets starting this April, with a price tag of around €129 (~$145) before taxes and rebates.
