Samsung schedules March 1 event, likely Galaxy S6 unveiling

Samsung Unpacked 2015 - Galaxy S6

Samsung has sent out invites  for an event scheduled for March 1st. This is likely when the company will unveil its next flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S6 at the MWC 2015 in Barcelona.

It was during last year's MWC that Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S5, and the invitation which reads "What's Next," is a clear indication of what we can expect.

The invite also shows a curved line that looks to be a silhouette, and could be an indicator of the brand new design Samsung is rumored to employ on this year's flagship device. On the bottom right of the invitation is the Samsung Unpacked 2015 logo with the March 1st date underneath.

The Galaxy S6 is expected to feature a screen of around 5 inches or larger with a 1440 x 2560 pixel (QHD) resolution, a 20MP rear camera with OIS, a 5MP front camera and an octa-core Exynos 7420/Snapdragon 810 processor with 3GB of RAM.

Samsung may also use the event to unveil the Samsung Galaxy S Edge, a variant of the upcoming flagship which may feature the curved display which debuted on the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge.

In any case, Samsung's March 1 event shouldn't be missed and we will be covering it right here. So mark your calendars, bookmark this website and start the countdown timer.
