LG G Pro 2 receives Android 5.0.1 in Europe

LG G Pro 2We recently reported that the LG G Pro 2 was receiving the Android Lollipop update in South Korea. Now it seems that the latest version of Android is headed to Europe.

The Lollipop update bring Android 5.0.1 and weighs 640MB. The update G Pro 2 will receive a new UI, redesigned notifications bar, refreshed icons, new software navigation keys, an overhauled recent apps menu, and many more.

The update is being pushed out OTA (over-the-air) and users should receive a notification when it is available for their handsets. The first reports of the update are surfacing from Hungary, but we expect it should spread across other regions in Europe and around the world pretty soon. Unfortunately those who use carrier branded LG G Pro 2 will have to wait slightly longer, until the network provider can certify the software for its network.

If you do receive the OTA update notification, make sure you are connected to WiFi and that your battery is appropriately charged before downloading the update. You can try manually checking for the update under Settings. Also be sure to leave us a comment if you have received the Android 5.0 Lollipop update on your LG G Pro 2.
