Apple iOS 8.3 beta 2 released to developers

Apple iOS 8.3 beta 2Apple has just released download links of iOS 8.3 beta 2 build to developers registered in the iOS Developer program. This beta comes exactly two weeks after releasing first beta of iOS 8.3.

In order to install the beta, you must pay the annual $99 fee, following which you can download the beta from the iOS Dev Center

Apple's iOS 8.3 will include a Wireless CarPlay feature, a new Emoji picker, improved login for Google services, an updated voice for Siri, and support for Apple Pay in China. CarPlay was introduced a year ago along with iOS 7.1, but its roll-out has been a gradual process thus far. For those early adopters, the arrival of iOS 8.3 will offer a wireless solution allowing users to do away with their Lightning cables. We expect the update will include various bug fixes and performance improvements aimed at preparing iOS 8.3 for primetime use.

If you are a paying developer, you will be able to download the update directly on your device by heading to  Settings > General > Software Update. You can also download the IPSW file from the Dev Center and manually flash it to you device. If you are already running the iOS 8.2 beta 5, its probably worth noting that Apple has completed beta testing that build, and should be releasing it sometime in March.

Apple will release iOS 8.3 later this year, but are also reportedly working on iOS 8.4 with a new streaming music feature, and iOS 9.0 which is said to focus on performance improvements and bug fixes. Besides iOS 8.3 beta 2, Apple also released a second beta of OS X 10.10.3 today with the new Photos app and a new beta OS for the Apple TV.
