Windows 10: The Next Chapter

After unveiling Windows 10 for enterprise back in September, Microsoft is set to showcase the consumer side of the next version of Windows on tomorrow, January 21. Microsoft will be live streaming the one hour event, and we will be covering the event as it happens right here.

You'll hear directly from senior leaders from Microsoft, including Terry Myerson, Joe Belfiore and Phil Spencer as well as CEO Satya Nadella. Be sure to bookmark this page, and check out our Windows 10 news as you prepare for the official unveiling.

Windows 10 is expected to be available across all platforms, including PCs, Laptops, Tablets and smartphones. During the event Microsoft will unveil their latest version of Windows 10 for desktops, which is expected to reintroduce the classic Start Menu and bring the voice assistance from Cortana to the desktop. You also get a new multi-desktop mode, a notification center and more. Microsoft is also introducing a new 'unity mode' which will allow users to seamlessly transition between tablet and desktop mode on hybrid devices. You can learn more about Windows 10 here.

Windows 10 for Phones may also be unveiled during the event, along with the next version of Office and some new Windows hardware. While Windows Phone has struggled to compete against the duopoly created by iOS and Android, Microsoft is hoping that Windows 10 will be able to better compete in the post PC era.
