Omate unveils two smartwatches

Omate RomaMeet the Omate Roma and the Omate Racer - two smartwatches run Omate's proprietary software and are powered by the MediaTek MT2502 "Astor" chip. Thanks to this low-power chip and proprietary software both smartwatches will offer you up to a week of battery life on a single charge.

Omate RacerThe two watches will allow you to select from various watchfaces, and both will send you notifications when warranted. If you're trying to keep fit, you will be able to track your activities using either device.

Both smartwatches offer 2G connectivity, so you wont have to pair them with a smartphone for your notifications. Both wearables also offer Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.

The Omate Racer can be pre-ordered starting tomorrow for $99. However its price will be increased to $129 after January 15. Shipments are expected to start sometime next month. Both models are expected to be available in the U.S. and U.K through retail stores by March.
