Android 5.0 Lollipop leaks for Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005)

Samsung Galaxy Note 3

The Android 5.0 Lollipop update has leaked out for the unlocked Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N9005). Those who own this model can download it from the XDA Developers forum and enjoy the latest version of Android along with the redesigned TouchWiz UI on their phablets.

The process of installing the update should be straightforward if you know what you are doing. Just make sure you backup your data before you proceed with the installation. All the information on flashing the update is available on the XDA website if you need guidance.

The update itself is around 1.1GB in size, and users should note that the device may take longer than usual to boot the first time the update is installed. Once the update is installed you should be greeted by the Android 5.0 startup wizard. This update will only work with the unlocked SM-N9005 variant of the Note 3, and wont work with other models.

We do not recommend installing the update manually unless you are fully aware of the risks associated with doing so. Samsung should start rolling out the official OTA soon, so waiting for that may be safer.
