Windows 10 build 9901 video shows Cortana and more

A new Windows 10 build 9901 has leaked out showing the progress Microsoft has made since the release of the last technical preview. The leaked build shows early versions of consumer features, including the personal digital assistant Cortana, UI improvements, new apps, new settings and many more.

Microsoft has already scheduled an event on January 21, where the company is expected to unveil the "Next Chapter" of Windows 10. Since the last Windows 10 event was aimed at the enterprise customers, it is assumed that Microsoft will use the January 21 event to unveil consumer features.

Cortana is one of the features the software giant is expected to unveil during their upcoming Windows event. You can see how the digital assistant may be represented on Windows 10 in the following video.

Besides Cortana, the video also shows an updated unified Store and several UI enhancements to Modern Windows apps.

• Cortana: New polished UI, access to Cortana settings, few working features
• New Xbox app which will let user view the store, achievements, friends list and activity feeds.
• Updated Windows Store: Now have music, movies, and TV shows alongside apps and games.
• Updated Taskbar + New animations in the TaskView switcher
• updated Alarms, Calculator, Maps and Photos apps.
• New getting started with Windows 10
• The Camera app has been replaced by a new Camera (Beta) app
• PC Settings replaced by Settings by merging the PC Settings and Control Panel with a single UI
