MSN apps available across iOS, Android and Windows

Microsoft wants MSN to be a cross platform service, and promised back in September to bring the MSN apps for iOS and Android. Now you can download the entire MSN app suite across all your favorite platforms and keep your information and updated and connected across all your smartphones, tablets and PCs.

The MSN apps include News, Weather, Sports, Money, Health & Fitness, Food & Drink and Travel. The Travel app remains an exclusive on the Windows platform for now, and the Weather app is expected to arrive on iOS at a later time. For now you can download the rest of the apps on iOS, Android, Windows and Kindle devices.

The MSN apps provide access to the latest news from around the world, instant updates on financial news and data, delicious recipes, fitness information and weather updates. Since these apps can be connected to your Microsoft Account, your settings and data will be readily available across all your phones, tablets and computers.

The MSN apps are rebranded versions of the Bing apps, and were previously exclusive to Windows and Windows Phones. Under its new leadership, Microsoft has focussed on its strength in building software, bringing its apps and services across the other popular mobile platforms. With this move, Microsoft is ready to better compete against Google's offering.

Microsoft has even made sure than Kindle users have access to the new MSN apps, which is a great opportunity for the company since Google's apps are not available directly on the Kindle (Fire OS) platform.
