OnePlus One receives CyanogenMod 11S (44S) software update

The OnePlus One is currently receiving a software update from CyanogenMod, which brings CyanogenMod 11S (44S) to the device. The update is being pushed out OTA, but is being rolled out in stages, so it maybe awhile before it is available on your device.

The new update includes various fixes that obviously make the OnePlus One user experience better. The official changelog OnePlus posted on their forums suggest the following improvements:

• Fixed issues with random reboots and instability
• Fixed issues with memory causing screen artifacts
• Fixed issues with WiFi and modem crashes
• Fixed issues with Filesystem
• Fixed issues with "black bar"
• Fixed issues with persist partition corruption
• Fixed issues with AT&T VoLTE

The 11S (44S) update comes about a month after the previous important software update, which brought, among other things, high-quality audio playback, and the ability to shoot photos in RAW format. Back in July, OnePlus confirmed that their flagship be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop "within three months" of receiving the final code from Google. So we can likely expect the next major update to the handset in February

OnePlus also confirmed that they sold 500,000 of their handsets, and plans to sell a total of 1 million units before the end of the year.
