Sony reveals its Android 5.0 Lollipop update plans

Yesterday Google officially announced Android 5.0 Lollipop as the next major update to their mobile platform, and we know the Google Nexus lineup, following by the Google Play Edition devices will be first in line for the update. Motorola and HTC have already confirmed their plans to bring the update to their devices and now Sony has joined in to announce which of its devices are in line for the Lollipop treat.

Sony has announced that its "entire premium Z series" will be updated to the latest version of Android. So we can confirm that the following devices will be updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

• Sony Xperia Z Ultra

• Sony Xperia Z3 Compact
• Sony Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact
