Samsung Galaxy Alpha - Video Review

Samsung Galaxy Alpha

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha marks a new step in the company's journey with beautiful and stylish metal design that replaces the regular plastic and the usual powerful internals that allow Samsung's products to stand out in the market.

You get a metal frame running around the side of the device fortifying it while giving it a premium look and feel. The back cover is the only remnant of plastic, hidden behind a faux-leather design similar to the Galaxy S5. In terms of size, the Alpha is very compact and could even convenient for single handed use. In fact we cant help but notice subtle

The Galaxy Alpha comes with a 4.7 inch Super AMOLED display with a 720 x 1280 pixel resolution which results in a 312ppi pixel density. While this may be lesser than some of the top flagships in the market, you still get a fairly sharp experience with an excellent contrast.

Internal storage comes in at the quite plentiful 32GB, but in a typical Apple fashion, Samsung has decided to skip the microSD card slot, so you cannot expand on that initial allowance.

Samsung has equipped the Galaxy Alpha with a 12-megapixel CMOS image sensor of its own making with the ISOCELL technology and a native 16:9 aspect ratio. Samsung promises this will allow the Galaxy Alpha to capture pictures that are “sharper than ever with natural colors.”

The handset is powered by an Exynos 5 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz and running alongside 2GB of RAM. It’s a fairly fast chip that performs admirably, and makes the Galaxy Alpha look good not only on the outside, but on the inside as well.
