Motorola schedules event for September 4, likely unveiling of Moto X+1, Moto G2 and Moto 360

Motorola is sending out media invitations for an event which will take place on September 4, in Chicago. While the company has not revealed what they have in store for us during the event, there has been a lot of speculation on what we can expect.

We know the former Google company has at least three new Motorola devices in their pipeline. The invitation actually indicates four different devices - the next Moto X, the Moto 360, the next Moto G and what appears to be a earpiece.

The most anticipated announcement is likely the successor of the Motorola Moto X. The first generation Moto X was an interesting device. The handset appeared to be a mid-range device In a world dominated by flagships with the top of the shelf hardware inside. Motorola marketed their flagship with some unique software enhancements along with the ability to customize the phone to suite its customer. While not much is known about the upcoming Moto X successor, it was expected to be released on September 25.

The Moto G2 is another highly anticipated announcement from Motorola. The Motorola Moto G has been a very successful device for the company around the world, so it makes sense that that the company would have high hopes for its successor. Once again we don't really know much about the Moto G2, but there have been rumors that the device will be released on September 10.

There is no secret that the tech community cannot wait to get their hands on the Motorola Moto 360. The company's beautifully crafted smartwatch is expected to land this summer, and will clearly be one of the unveiled devices. The headset though will remain a mystery until September 4.
