AT&T offers $50 in Google Play credit with online purchase of an Android phone or tablet

Are you planning to purchase a new Android phone or tablet? AT&T is giving away $50 of Google Play credit with the purchase of an Android device on its network, between now and July 17th.

To qualify for the $50 Google Play credit, the phone purchase must include an installment agreement (if you're purchasing the phone using AT&T Next) or a signed two-year contract. A tablet purchase must be accompanied with a signed two-year contract.

The $50 Google Play credit must be redeemed by May 15th, 2015, or else it goes away forever. And if the stock Android fan inside you was thinking that the credit would allow you to take $50 off the price of a Google Play edition handset, guess again. The $50 is not allowed to be applied toward equipment or a subscription.
