Nokia 225 officially unveiled with an affordable price and attractive colors

The Finnish based phone manufacturer has unveiled yet another device to their portfolio - the Nokia 225. It's not a smartphone, but a feature phone, which looks just like the devices that made Nokia a dominant player in the industry a decade ago.

The Nokia 225 is quite similar to the Nokia 220, which got unveiled back at MWC 2014. It has the same clean, classic candy bar design. However, the Nokia 225 is slightly bigger and heavier, yet thinner than the Nokia 220. The handset has a 2.8 inch 262k LCD display with a 240 by 320 pixel resolution. Additionally you get a microSD slot and a 2MP camera on its back. You also get a 1,200mAh battery providing the power, which Nokia claims will provide roughly 36 days of standby, 21 hours of talk time, and the impressive 49 hours of music playback. If you decide to browse the web on the small display of the Nokia 225, you can do so for up to 7.5 hours. The handset also provides users with a flashlight when one is required.

The Nokia 225 runs the Series 30 mobile platform, but still comes with Facebook and Twitter preloaded, while the browser of choice for the handset is the Nokia Xpress Browser, which most Asha and Windows Phone devices also sport.

Nokia reveals that the Nokia 225 will come in single-SIM and dual-SIM variations. Both versions will be priced at $53 (EUR 39) before taxes and will be available in Q2 2014 in select markets.
