Hangouts for iOS updated (2.0.0) with iOS 7 style UI and iPad support

Google Hangouts for iOS has been updated to version 2.0.0 which brings the iOS 7 style flattened user interface to the app. The update also includes full iPad support, allowing you to have Hangouts with your Circles on your iPad. Google Hangouts for iOS is a cross platform messaging application which lets you communicate across iOS, Android and even desktop systems.

Hangouts for iOS version 2.0.0 has the following features and improvements:

• Fully-optimized for the iPad, including picture-in-picture video calling
• Animated stickers that help you share exactly how you’re feeling
• You can record and send video messages up to 10 seconds long
• You can send a map of your location to your friends, to make it easier to meetup.
• Optimized for iOS 7

The ability to send video messages is currently only available for iOS users. We assume that the next version of Hangouts for Android will include this feature too.
