Affordable Archos Neon tablets announced

France based electronics manufacturer Archos, has just announced a new lineup of affordable Neon tablets. They include the Archos 90 Neon, Archos 97 Neon and the Archos 101 Neon. The three devices are quite similar hardware-wise and the most significant difference between them is the size of their displays.

The Archos 90 Neon is the smallest one among the trio, with a 9-inch display, which comes with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The 101 Neon comes with a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, while the 97 Neon boasts a 9.7-inch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels.

In terms of internal hardware, all three of them come with MediaTek Cortex A9 processors on board. However, the ones in the 90 Neon and in the 101 Neon are clocked at 1.4GHz, while the CPU of the 97 Neon runs at 1.6GHz. Additionally all three feature 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD and 1GB of RAM. The 97 Neon is the only tablet of the lineup that sports a front and a rear camera, while the 90 Neon and the 101 Neon only have front-facing ones.

The trio will be powered by  and will include a full series of Google's apps and services.Pricing and release dates for the Neon tablets are yet to be announced.
